About Victoria Bobal

I have taught singing for over eight years, to students of different ages and very different backgrounds – from children discovering their voice for the first time to adults building technique, confidence and artistic expression.

My teaching combines vocal technique, musicality, stage presence and emotional connection to the music, in a warm and inspiring environment. I do not believe in pushing everyone through the same template. Every lesson is planned around your voice, your goals and your musical journey, whether you are a beginner or have been singing for years.

Alongside singing I also teach piano, which means students who want to accompany themselves can work on both with the same teacher.

Before moving to Sweden I had already released a debut album in my previous project, filmed several music videos and earned regular airplay on Ukrainian radio.

From my new home in Stockholm I have stepped into the next part of my artistic path: writing and recording new music, and collaborating with Swedish producers and songwriters.

The move to Sweden came out of something hard – the war in Ukraine – but I have used it as fuel. I have played my own headline concert at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm, been featured on SVT and on Sveriges Radio P4, and given a couple of interviews on Swedish radio.

I am currently studying the master's programme at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

In practice that means you get a teacher who works with the voice both as a craft and as an art form: technique that lasts, but also interpretation, lyric work and stage presence. These are the same tools I use in my own work as an artist.

I teach in Swedish, English and Ukrainian. Working on the voice is personal, and for many students the work goes deeper in their first language.

Vocal tuition in Ukrainian is hard to find in Stockholm. For Ukrainian families who have come here, being able to sing and talk about music in their own language often matters a great deal.
